Color: Darker garnet in the core, with ruby edges and a deeper color.

Nose: Good dark, flinty fruit here in the nose, with an underlay of anise and salted earth.

Palate: Full and round, this has good smooth and chalky mouthfeel, but while bright acidity is good, the tartness of this wine's acidity is distractingly unbalanced. Good savory and ripe fruit remains underneath, with dry, fine tannin, out into the tarter, chocolaty dry finish. More time could allow this wine to integrate further.
