Color: Very dark, almost opaque violet core, with dark violet edges.

Nose: Sweet toasty oak, mixed with very ripe plum, black cherry liqueur, wet earth, and pencil lead minerality.

Palate: Very full and very extracted, this is a huge wine that needs a bit of time to open up and mature. Smooth palate leads with earth and pencil lead from the nose, then kicks big into cherry tobacco and all that black fruit. Finishes with coating tannins and brighter acidity, to counteract all of that dark fruit and savoriness.
