Krutz Family Cellars Napa Valley Stagecoach Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
Region: Napa Valley, California
Winery: Krutz Family Cellars
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec
Color: Deep and dark violet core, with medium to dark violet edges.
Nose: Crazy flint, loam, and fresh anise here, with darkest black fruit lurking. Toast shows up around the edges and sweeter black cherry and light vanilla wafts from below. Good.
Palate: Full and unfiltered, this shows a softer palate than anticipated, with good fine tannin, brighter acidity and that same anise and flint that I've found in other great Cabs from this vineyard. Finishes long and dark fruited, with toast and granite minerality. Good: OldWorldWK.
