Winemaker’s Notes
Estate grown, produced and bottled, our 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon has lush ripeness, with deep black cherry and plum characters, accented by lavender and spice. Supportive tannins provide structure for the rich fruit, and layers of complexity carry over the long finish. Aged 22 months in French oak barrels, the wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered, to retain purity of expression. 2,700 cases produced.
2004 Vintage
Warm temperatures in March led to an early budbreak, but a cooler spring drew out the time during bloom, giving us excellent conditions for berry set. Cool, foggy mornings in July gave way to a warm August and September. Yields were small, with dense, intense flavors. Harvest lasted from September 10 to October 16.
