Color: Darkest garnet with garnet edges

Nose: Extremely good and much more ripe, yet very fresh than expected from this cooler appellation. All red fruit for the most part, with pomegranate, ripe Bing cherry, black cherry and then some red currants underneath with an underlay of toast.

Palate: Very well done here and I'm very intrigued by the quality of the Cab from this appellation now! Full and mouth-watering acidity, with a great wet earth mix of black and red fruit here, anise and black currants to go with the red fruit from the nose. Fresh garden herbs round out the finish along with light pine notes. Awesome...QPR with a $65 wine? Yes.
