Well-structured and dry, very fruity. Obvious notes of cherry and wild berries, but dry enough to accompany spicier meals. Stays away from strong woody flavors, which to me is a great quality. I have yet to serve this wine to anyone and be told they don't like it. Chateau Le Puy is a blue chip, the sort of wine you can take in all confidence to dinners and receptions without knowing what will be served.
Open and let breathe for at least two hours for an optimal experience.
