St. Supéry Napa Valley Merlot 2003
Region: Napa Valley, California
Winery: St. Supéry Vineyards & Winery
Variety: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc
Rating: 4
Color: Darker ruby with light ruby edges and a very slight burnt sienna tinge
Nose: Quite good and dusty here with some moist earth, black and Bing cherry, cassis and autumn forest leaves.
Palate: Full and silky and very good, with more of that black and red fruit here on the palate as well, great acid and tannins that are fully integrated. Fruit is still bright with no hint of age other than the good savory characteristics in the mid-palate and towards the long cherry finish. Great QPR!
