Color: Dark violet/ruby core with dark ruby edges

Nose: Outstanding, this has a beautiful bouquet that leaps from the glass. Very dusty red fruit is at the tip, but then overwhelmed by lavender and some spicier black fruit that has great depth. Some sweeter blue fruit comes in to add coolness with some anise.

Palate: Full and silky, this is also quite good and with the listed price point, a bit ridiculous in its wealth of QPR! That fruit from the nose is very present here, with the same complexity, but wonderfully balanced by just a hint of oak, strong but silky grip and good food-centric acidity. The finish has some spicier dried black pepper and a mix of dusty wild blackberry and black cherry. Nice!
