This is a really wonderful Chardonnay - nothing fancy, it just does its job. Beautiful straw-like color. The taste is wonderful - very like oak, popcorn butter - actually maybe more like butterscotch? - some citrus, nice acid. Nice lingering finish.

One of my favorite wines of the summer. It's not often you can say of a wine "it was smooth like butter..."

Bryan, We only have one btolte of it. It\'s all we could get, and even then I had to pull some teeth and pretty much pay cash at the tasting. When are you planning on coming down? I don\'t think it will be fast mover.

Rating: 4
The 2006 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay bursts with enticing aromas of citrus, floral notes, butterscotch, lemon peel and a slight spicy quality. In the mouth, flavors of citrus, pear and honeysuckle combine with subtle toast and caramel, adding richness and texture to the long, lingering finish.
