Meaty, gamy flavors course through the dark berry and cherry fruit in this ripe, medium-weight red. Has plenty of personality, but not everyone will like it. Grenache, Mataro and Shiraz. Drink now through 2014. 3,500 cases made. –HS

    Color: Darker violet and garnet

Nose: Toasty, with dark blue fruit and some hints of earthiness and cherry

Palate: Also toasty here in its youth, with unintegrated rich oak, blue and black fruit and some savory notes in the finish.
