Color: Dark garnet with garnet edges

Nose: A lot of rich oak here that almost overwhelms the complex fruit and earthier elements, but better integrated than the last time I tasted this, over a year ago. Good leather and dried herbs alongside the mix of black red and even blue fruit.

Palate: Full, rich mouth with still softening tannins and integrating components. That big oak is here as well, but it is very encouraging to see it has also started balancing more with the cavalcade of darker, complex fruit in the mid-palate and savory components in the long finish. This wine still seems very young, but based on my two tastes a little over a year apart, I'd say this will be singing in a couple years time, and then for many years to come.
