Ikal 1150 Malbec 2007
Region: Tupungato, Valle de Uco, Mendoza
Winery: Ikal 1150
In the super-ripe, oak influenced style. Deep inky texture with purple hues. On the nose, deep dark fruits like boisenberry, blackcurrant, and violet flower with tons of vanilla toasty oak. This is a rustic wine with lots of minerality to balance the fruit. Smooth and creamy mouthcoat with gripping sweet vanilla tannins. The finish has mint hints and lasts for minutes. This is a big wine for big pallates. I'm giving it a solid 91 points. www.ikal1150.com

Produced from five Malbec grape varieties indigenous to Mendoza. Aged in new- and second-use neutral French oak.
