Levendi Napa Valley Sweetwater Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

Color: Dark garnet, almost black center

Nose: Black and blue fruit with some big anise at first and good! Then some almond with even a little hazelnut, followed by some nicely integrated oak and vanilla.

Palate: Good silky tannins, but still with nice grip in the finish. Blackest fruit right now with just a hint of blue whispering up from the depths. Dried herbs and some more of that anise are closer to the end of the full body. Great balance is added to by the good food-centric acidity. Tight right now but still drinking well and needs some time to become it's best, great now though. Finish ends with some black cherry and mocha.
