This value-packed Monterey S.B. offers fresh grass and floral characters along with bright gooseberry fruitiness. 80% is fermented in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures in order to enhance and protect bright grassy/fruity characters. 20% is fermented in older, neutral French oak barrels, which adds a fuller texture to the wine. An Editors' Choice, Wine Enthusiast: 'Sourced from the Arroyo Seco, this is a blend of mostly stainless steel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc with some barrel-fermated Semillon. It shows bright acidity and bone dry citrus, lemongrass and gooseberry flavors. With a bright, clean finish, it's a fine accompaniment for a huge range of food. Give credit to Bernardus for not raising their prices in years." (11/08) via http://www.klwines.com/detail.asp?sku=1039736
