Color: Paler straw
Nose: Spicy oak mixed with wonderful white and tropical fruits of peach, pear, green melon and yellow apple, followed by some butterscotch.
Palate: I think that amandalaine above, perfectly described the best qualities of this wine. A beautiful mix of buttery and crisp acidity, those fruits from the nose are also mixed with the creaminess and cedar from the barrel fermentation. Nicely done!

I find that it is difficult to come across a California Chardonnay which has a nice balance of acidity and toasty oak. But Frank Family has always done a great job of combining the two. Their Chardonnay is medium bodied, a little creamy, but it has tropical (pineapple) and citrus and melon notes, plus a little butter. A great wine to pair with many foods, thanks to the presence of acidity. Plus, they are the NICEST people at the winery, so they will continue to get my business.
