Oyster Bay Hawke's Bay Merlot 2006
Region: Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
Winery: Oyster Bay Wines
Variety: Merlot
Color: Garnet
Nose: Minty and black and red fruit abound. Has good mouth-watering acidity, as well.
Palate: Full and silky, probably from the slightly residual sugar left over. That fruit stands out and good oak is there as well, almost fully integrated. Finishes silky again, but with good tannins and more of that mint and cherry.
