True to Bierzo's reputation, this wine bears a distinct resemblance to Burgundian Pinot Noir. It's level of extraction and outgoing character give it an unmistakable new world edge, but the truffle-like earthiness and restrained dark cherry fruit which one should expect are certainly accounted for.
