Château Cantemerle Haut-Médoc 1996
Region: Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux, France
Winery: Château Cantemerle
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot
Color: Burnt-sienna
Nose: Secondary aromas of mustiness and prunes, then some loam and red fruit, but not a lot of fruit in the nose.
Palate: Good, with a medium to full body, red fruit, acidity good as well as the tannin structure. But with the aromas, I'd say this is moving over the hill. Finishes well with clove and spice.
