Ravenswood Vintners Blend California Merlot 2005
Region: Califonia
Winery: Ravenswood Winery
Variety: Merlot
Color: medium garnet
Nose: Red fruit on top of black fruit, but with a hint of green tannin.
Palate: Fruit-forward with some oak, this wine medium-bodied and has some hints of that tannic structure that wasn't quite ready when harvested. I've always found this wine to be a great value, as with the whole VB line, however this year doesn't reach that expected quality.
