After having had a couple glasses, I concluded that I didn't have to buy this one again. Not bad, I thought, but I'd sooner have a Merlot. By the time the bottle was finished, I was getting to like it more and more.

Henry of Pelham Baco Noir Reserve 2005
Region: Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada
Winery: Henry of Pelham
Variety: Baco Noir
Very deep, thick, dense purple robe. Pleasant smell of tobacco and spice that fills the room when you open the bottle. Full-bodied taste with a strong accent of pepper that develops into more ample, subtle fruit tastes in your mouth as you sip. Nice, round final that leaves you begging for more. A beautiful wine to experiment with cheese. To me, Henry of Pelham's Baco is one of the best ambassadors of Niagara wine and a fine addition to any cellar.
