This wine is great! It's the kind of Chardonnay I can drink a lot of: plenty of fruit, well-balanced, a little bit of toast but not an oaky butter bomb. I really liked the long finish. Elegant is the right word. I only bought two bottles but I'm going to go back for a case because I can't believe how cheap it was -- it tastes like it's in the same league with Ramey and Marcassin.

What a great surprise. Just beautiful, paired really well with my chilean sea bass. Wish I had bought more before it sold out

this was the other wine I loved at the festival and i got a 6 pack. too many California wines taste like wood and this is so well balanced with nice peach fruit, a little lemon zest and a nice, solid finish

Silver Spur Los Carneros Chardonnay 2004
Region: Los Carneros, Sonoma Valley, California
Winery: Silver Spur
Variety: Chardonnay
This elegant, toasty Chardonnay offers plenty of golden apple and nectarine fruit with an appealing minerality. The winery owners are college friends of famous grape grower Mike Sangiacomo and they got to choose his very best grapes.
