Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Proprietary Red 2004

Color: Dark garnet

Nose: Threw me off at first, smelling gamey like a Syrah, and it stayed pretty tight in this young age. Lots of black fruit and anise right now.

Palate: Wow, quite good, if still young and closed. Big structure with great acidity and a big but round tannin. Has more red fruit to go with that black fruit and framed nicely, already, with integrated oak. Could last a longgg time! Full-bodied yumminess.
