Quackenbush Mountain Vineyards Lake County Estate Zinfandel 2006
Region: Lake County, California

Variety: Zinfandel
Color: Ruby, with garnet edges
Nose: Has a wonderful claret nose of blue and red fruit that has a ton of depth. It took a little bit of time for it to open, being so young, but its fantastic one it does.
Palate: More structure than expected for this Zin, perhaps its due to the high elevation. This has luscious fruit though and it is more forward than you might expect from the claret-like nose. I really like this wine!
