St. Clement Napa Valley Merlot 2003
Region: Napa Valley, California

Color: Dark garnet
Nose: Much bigger fruit than the Abbott's this is still quite good with similar dark fruit on the palate and cherry on the nose. Some toasty oak.
Palate: Quite good, I think the Cab adds some structure to this wine, but it is still a bigger fruity wine. The structure isn't as refined as the Abbott's Merlot but I still like it. With this much Cab in the mix, it could actually be considered more of a Meritage. A fair amount of toast from the oak right now, as well.
