Color: Dark garnet, quite concentrated for a Merlot.

Nose: Great dark fruit and plum with this wine, big wonderful aromas that also include a hint of toast for complexity.

Palate: Great dark fruit but wow, such balance. Reminds me of great Merlot-based Bordeaux's from Saint-Emilion. Wonderful structure and a bit of cigar, cherry and black and red fruit are complemented by the wonderful tannic structure and acidity in the finish. No wonder he decided to bottle this separately!
