Parallel Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Region: Napa Valley, California
Winery: Parallel Wines
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Verdo
Color: Nice darkly concentrated garnet and purple
Nose: Concentrated Cab, showing the great standards of red cherry, cassis, some earth and other black fruit.
Palate: Full-bodied, this is powerful, but in a sort of ballet dancer's form...still lithe and very complex. At this young, young stage, it is still quite enjoyable, but it's going to go forever. This winery has been getting huge press, as has Food & Wine's Winemaker of the year for 1005, Melka. This wine shows exactly why it's been an amazing early success. A WS Emerging label (Nov 15, 2007). One of the three favorites for the day at VS.
