This Chardonnay is from a single vineyard block in the Carneros appellation. 75% was aged in stainless steel and 25% was fermented and aged in New French Oak. It did not undergo malo-lactic fermentation. This Chardonnay features integrated oak and a rich, full mouth.

Color: Golden yellow, with some viscosity

Nose: Clear tropical fruit here with a little bit of citrus. Touch of cream in the nose, but no ML here and not much Oak, as well, but it was brand new.

Palate: This quite a good Chard. Totally the style that I enjoy, it's not a steely Chablis, but still has the lack of ML butter and toast that you'd normally see in a Napa Chard. I like that many producers are going more towards the Old World style of Chard, especially in Carneros, like this one. Great clean finish touches a bit of creaminess, but only to caress the mouth a bit until the next clean, nicely acidic sip. Great stuff.
