Color: Garnet
Nose: Cherry, some cigar and a bit of earth, but not a huge fruit bomb.
Palate: This is a very graceful Cab, and very good stuff. Again GT has gone in more of an Old World direction, with a very balanced and nicely acidic Cab. I like this wine a lot and it has a fantastic price.

Half of the fruit for this wine came from the Rutherford vineyard of Gary Galleron and the other half was from the Hardin vineyard in the Pope Valley. The wine went through its malo-lactic fermentation at a very late stage – seven months – which preserved more of the natural acid and fruit. It was aged in 90% neutral oak barrels and 10% new barrels for a fruitier versus oakier wine. This wine is perfectly balanced, elegant and really only shows the tannin structure on the finish. You will find up front flavors of cassis, licorice, mint and roasted red fruits.
