Etude Carneros Estate Chardonnay 2006

Color: Golden yellow

Nose: Steely and some mineral, then the fruit comes out with pear and and apricot.

Palate: This is a bit unintegrated at this point, but still very very good. Structure is of a Burgundy-style Chard, but with a little bit of creamy mouthfeel for those New World fans. Very steely like the nose and with great acidity. That white fruit is there, but hasn't come out yet. Might have been better to decant this youngster, but I really liked it.
