This could be 5 stars after I try it again with a good dry aged steak. I noted a complex buttery, peppery flavor with a mild peaty accent. That is a recipe for yumminess in my book. But alas, I had an inferior dinner with this wine and did not get to enjoy it fully. I am thinking of posting an entry on the craigslist "missed connections" page. Something like, "I had you at dinner a month ago and can't get the notes of you out of my Treo. Won't you come find me so I can ingest you and you can turn my poop black? Signed, Lonely and Regular in MD" Because we all know that CL missed connections work so well...
