STYLEDaiginjo: Rare and handcrafted, small batch saké made with the finest rice, water, yeast, and koji.
TASTING NOTESOne word: Ethereal. That is the only description suitable for this amazing saké. On the nose you’ll find complex aromas of rich, dense anise, cedar, subtle mint and earth notes like dark forest moss and sun warmed fallen leaves. Flavors explode on the palate in such a manner that your tongue will have a Zen moment that lasts and lasts and lasts. Here again, herbs, pears, subtle melon and all the flavors of Yamadanishiki at its finest in both milling and handling. The finest saké rice crafted into one of the worlds finest sakés.

This is the 58th straight year that the Murai Family’s brewery, Momokawa Brewing Japan, has received a gold medal at the Nanbu Toji competition — Japan’s toughest saké judging.
To our surprise we were told that no bottles would be available because there just was not enough made to bottle for the public. After much debate, a few favors pulled in, we were able to negotiate 30 bottles. The only bottles available anywhere,. This saké is not available in Japan, only here in the U.S. and only from SakéOne.
