Ideal growing conditions in 2003 presented a great opportunity for us to show off the second vintage of our Red. When preparing this blend, we select some of our best barrels representing every distinct spot in our vineyard. This gives us a chance to show off the way in which many different elements combine to make a harmonious blend. It also allows us to demonstrate how wonderful sustainably made wines can be. The 2003 Red makes me think of delicious goodness warming in the oven: vanilla, black cherry, baking spices. This wine has good concentration and balance, and a very long silky smooth finish.
