Color: Pale golden
Nose: Tropical fruit with some big citrus, but seems a bit disjointed
Palate: More strangeness, has some of that nice refreshing citrus and tropical fruit, maybe grassiness of Sauv Blanc that I like, but then veers off into this kind of unctuous creaminess and off-dry finish.

Hagafen Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2006
Region: Napa Valley, California
Winery: Hagafen Cellars
Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Our Sauvignon Blanc is produced from a well-established vineyard in the Eastern foothills of the Napa Valley, where the hot days and cool nights are ideal for creating crisp, clean, long-finishing food friendly wine. On the nose, our highly aromatic Sauvignon Blanc shows lemon, grape fruit, kiwi, and mandarin orange. This bracing, mouth-watering wine fills the palate with a well integrated mix of bright fruit, including lemon drops, limes, and citrus zest, with just a hint of tingly liveliness. Balanced and with solid structure, our 2006 Sauvignon Blanc works well with a variety of fish and lighter, roasted game dishes.95 POINTS, GOLD MEDAL--California State Fair Wine Competition
