You know sometimes you just hate to admit it but some inexpensive wines you really do enjoy. I had this wine with a quick steak dinner and the overall taste and smell did not jump out like some more expensive CA Cabs but I liked it. OK my pallet is not as refined as many out there but sometime you just have to go with what you like and not worry about what someone else may think. Even my on pre-judgement of the Meridian wines was that they were inexpensive for a reason (sub-par taste) I can't go as far as I would stock this wine since there are so many wines to try but If I received it as a gift or had it a party I would not turn it away.

Meridian Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting NotesMeridian Cabernet Sauvignon is decisive and knows exactly where it stands. There’s no mincing around - from the first taste, its notes of black cherry, currant, vanilla and spice are clean and straight forward. This wine will stand up well to a robust steak dinner for two, can handily go toe-to-toe with a leg of lamb at an Easter or Passover feast, and makes an excellent match to a tri tip roast prepared for a special occasion (for example, "it’s the weekend - let’s celebrate!").
