Parsonage Village Vineyard Carmel Valley Estate Merlot 2004
Region: Carmel Valley, California
Winery: Parsonage Village Vineyard
Variety: Merlot
Color: Dark, deep intensity
Nose: Wonderful deep red fruit, with some black cherry and hints of vanilla and mint.
Palate: Great tannin structure for a New World Merlot, but still round for those of us that don't like big tannic structure. Beautiful silky mouthfeel comes from the great balance of blackberry fruit and spice with notes of vanilla that isn't jammy or overly bold and pairs wonderfully with the surprisingly good acidity. Very long finish for this outstanding wine.
