Georis Winery Carmel Valley Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 1996
Region: Carmel Valley, California
Winery: Georis Winery
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc
Color: Ruby with no browning
Nose: Citrus, with bright red fruit and some blueberry and a touch of those Carmel tannins, but not as much as expected. Still quite fresh.
Palate: Quite good, but medium-bodied now. Tons of that citrus, so the high acidity is making it a great food wine. More of that red fruit and the tannins are soft and round at this point, finishing with that bright red fruit and cherry. Very good and a lovely wine!
