I have been purchasing Chalk Creek Petite Syrah at Trader Joes this year, and the 2005 vintage is outstanding. At about $6 per bottle, nothing I have tasted comes near it. As with most Petite Syrahs, this one is big and bold, loads of fruit, and a perfect balance on the tannins. I get a lot of currant and raspberry with this wine, but most importantly, it just plain tastes great! I would like to find a web site for it.
