Color: Very dark red and conc.

Nose: Full and deep, leaps out of glass with mature dark fruit and some spice.

Palate: Deep dark blackberry and cassis fraed by subtle toasty oak, finishing with notes of sage, anise earth and cedar and showing Mt. Veeder tannins. Supple coating tannins w/ long finish!!

Color: Darker garnet and ruby in the core, with only just a hint of burnt sienna highlights and in the edges from age.

Nose: Beautiful here, almost worth just inhaling and not drinking! Great depths of black and red fruit that still smell ripe and young, alongside tertiary elements of anise, dried garden herbs and autumn leaves. Earth and new tobacco come in at the rim and with air.

Palate: Tremendous, this wine is an achievement. That great, still dark fruit is here in the palate as well, along with more black cherry and anise. Integrated oak adds balance to the also integrated tannin and great acidity. Earth, cigar box, autumn leaves, and dried herbs are here as well, just a fantastic wine with plenty of age left! AwesomeWK.
