This was my favorite wine we tasted of the night -- the blend of cab and syrah made for an interesting warm bread and crushed black pepper balance. I really enjoyed the combination!

Each sip was better than the last, so I would suggest decanting this bottle for several hours before enjoying it. The richness of the varietals became more true, with touches of coffee and dark chocolate, as well as nice ripe red plums.

I got some mushroom and cucumber action on the flavor of this wine. Which was interesting, but didn't blow me away.

I have a note on my sheet here: "different nose". Don't remember what that means.

Mid-high tannins. Short finish.
