Vintage Fact Sheet:
VARIETY: Pinotage 100%
VINTAGE: 2005
CELLAR: Franschhoek Cellar & Robertson Cellar
AREA OF ORIGIN: Western Cape
VINEYARD: Franschhoek, Firgrove and Robertson vineyards.
HARVEST & CELLAR TREATMENT: Grapes were handpicked,
destalked and cool fermented between 20 and 25°C. Three aerated
pump overs per day and pressed as soon as fermentation was
completed. Malolactic fermentation completed in stainless steel
tanks to retain fruit.
TASTING NOTES: “Typical ripe Pinotage flavours of plums,
berries and a hint of tropical banana on the nose. Soft juicy fruit
flavours on the palate. The wine is medium­bodied with an easy
accessible structure. The finish is clean and rewarding.”
SERVING: An all­occasion red that was produced and structured
in a way to please most palates and all occasions. Enjoy as an
aperitif, even chilled or with your favourite pizza, at a
braai/barbeque or with other Cape dishes like bobotie and tomato
bredie.
ANALYSIS:
Alcohol: 13.5 % vol
Residual Sugar: 4.81g/l
pH: 3.48
Total Acid: 5.37g/l
