This wine was very enjoyable. The tannins were a little strong for my taste, but being a 2005 maybe the wine didn't have enough time to open up. I really enjoy reds with my dinner but that's about the only time. I tend to lean more towards whites, so my opinion might be a little skewed. However I did pour a second glass of this wine. :) True red drinkers might love this wine. My girlfriend's a red drinker and she really liked it.

I heard somthing about a licorice nose with this wine but I didn't really feel any. Its nice and smooth though.
