A surprisingly mellow chianti, this Toscana blends interesting flavors with a nice residual sweetness. The light pepper and spice start calms to a sweetness reminiscient of a very light honey and is at times wet. I wonder if the light to medium bodied wine is a result of the diffuclt growing conditions for this region in 2002 that was plagued with above average rain fall during harvest.
