I have been drinking this wine for 10 years, off and on. Always a very consistent wine, and I can't really remember a time when I had a bad time with this wine.
It is very light on the nose and palate, very much like it's Gamay roots, with enough fruit to almost make it a likable by Zin fans too.
This would be a perfect way to introduce friends to a red wine that is nice and approachable. Those who have a more developed palate may find this wine a bit boring,

A very enjoyable good wine for a neophyte

I first tried this because of the advertising on the box that said it is the most served red in fine restaurants. There is a reason for that - it is a very good wine at a very reasonable price.

I really enjoy most louis Jadot's wine and this was no exception, easy drinking, goes with almost all light dinners and is perfect for a social wine, not needing food to bring out its best quialities. Fruity but not too overpowering and overall a really sound and good value wine.

I too have been drinking this wine for years, excellent Beaujolais --- 2005 was a great wine year, although 2003 was better!

I am partial to French wines so I thought this wine was rather good. Great with any meat dish and pasta.
