Excellent cab based claret - at 80% cab, 10% cab franc and 10% merlot, this wine has a slightly clovey nose. As soon as it hits your mouth, you feel this overwhelming taste of blackberry, clove and oak. The claret is a very juicy, jammy and big wine that is perfect on its own.

This is a very nice red, especially on the second day. Perhaps we should have decanted it on the first. It went very well with salmon.

Monster claret. Big fruit, huge nose and juicy tannins. As noted, this really needs an hour or two in the decanter to open up. Great value at under $15.
