Had a bottle at Mario's in Detroit on 2/5/2007 with a filet mignon. Was very impressed with taste and finish. One of the best chianti's I have tasted.

From the earth and tobacco in the nose to the lush and lingering finish, this is certainly the best chianti classico I've tasted, and may be my favorite wine. There are hints of currants, blackberries, smoke, and a bit of leather in this opulent, smooth wine. Although big and strong, this chianti classico is exceedling smooth, even a bit gentle. Drink it now, or let it age another 10 years.
