Quintessential BBQ wine, rustic, gutsy, could age 1 yr. Clear, pronounced legs, intense purplish-red core with thin lighter red rim. Powerful youthful aromas of cherry, plum jam. Dry youthful palate of cherry and alcohol. Intense, full bodied, very acidic, moderately rough tannins, long tannin-fueled finish. Good quality, drink now or hold a while, balanced yet simple at this time. It's not earth-shaking but it's enjoyable for what it is.
