This definitely has a bit of a residual sugar, but in balance with the wine's fruit-forward flavors and core of acidity. I particularly enjoy this when I found it on a restaurant wine list for sushi and spicy Asian dishes. At home, I made it recently with a potato, leek, cheddar bacon soup that came out quite well - http://www.easyfoodandwine.com/Cheddar-Bacon-Potato-Soup-Wine-Pairing.... - Riesling and bacon is truly the classic Alsatian pairing!
