The cork was a bit rotted, which made me worry while opening the bottle. Would the bottle be corked? But a good 1/2 inch of the cork was still in good shape. The aromas locked in for 81 years came pouring out. Raisins and figs. Great acidity. Still balanced with structure that changed greatly over the hours we drank the bottle. Caramel, sugar cane, and a light hint of spices. It was a very smooth, and pretty wine. - 06/13/2009 I was shocked at how it held up. The color was light orange reddish. The others (who didn't know what it was) described it as yummy. It was a one of a kind find. Although I also picked up a 1936 D'Yquem. - 06/13/2009		5/5 Stars. 1 2 3 4 5
