About Me: Hello all! I am a novice to the wine tasting, but so far my favorites are red wines (chambourcin, merlots, and syrah). I also like the sweeter whites like moscato and oaky chardonnays. Ethnic cooking and performing arts are my favorite hobbies. Currently I am taking bellydance classes and perform several times a year. I also do salsa and soul line dancing

This wines tannins should let it age well, and could be cellared for 5 years or more. Aging will allow the wine to gain in complexity while the tannins become softer. The Lemberger grape is native to Germany, Austria, and Hungary, and also goes by the name of Blaufrankish. It belongs in the Vinifera family, which includes the entire large group of grape that are native to the European continent, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, etc. This vintage displays aromas of plum and cherry. Awards by Vintage: * 2004: Silver Medal Winner 2006 New Jersey Wine Competition. Bronze Medal Winner in the 2006 Vineyard & Winery Management East Coast Competition. Our Chambourcin is smooth, mellow and well balanced, with soft tannins, nice fruit and a beautiful dark color. An excellent example of what Chambourcin can be, this vintage was aged in american oak for 6 months, giving it a little more complexity than previous vintages. Awards by Vintage: * 2004: Bronze Medal Winner in the 2006 New Jersey Wine Competition. * 2001: This dry red is a winner, taking home medals in every competition in which it's been entered. Our wine is a lovely example that lets the varietal characteristics shine through, with delicious flavors of peach and apricot. It's dry, yet the fruitiness is pronounced, and leaves a warm finish. This is a flavorful white which is often appreciated by professed red wine drinkers. Awards by Vintage: * 2006: Gold Medal in the 2006 New Jersey State Wine Competition. * 2005: Gold Medal in the 2006 New Jersey State Wine Competition. The wine pairs remarkably well with lighter seafood dishes. With its notes of citrus, and a crisp touch of acidity, it adds to the flavor of the fish while refreshing the palate between bites. Nov. 15, 2008	Mattie's Perch White Shiraz 2006 Mattie's Perch White Shiraz 2006 Region: South Australia > Winery: Mattie's Perch Variety: Shiraz (strong alcohol taste, like the other cheap wine I bought. will have to compare this with a higher priced wine) strawberry and vanilla flavors, perfect paired with light summer salads, a cheese plate or contrast to spiced curried seafood color--ruby/orangish aroma--strawberry, taste--reminds me of the way honey feels and tastes in my mouth, very strawberryish, very faint cranberry strong alcohol taste that I didn't like I really like the strawberry taste of this wine, its not the best blush I've tasted, but its ok considering it is only five bucks. 98% Shiraz 2% other; 12.5% alcohol - 11/15/2008		1/5 Stars. 1 2 3 4 5

I love how it feels on the tongue...just like honey. Easy to drink. Goes well with spicy foods. Sweet, light, honey feel on the tongue. Peachy, floral flavor. Lingering fruitiness left on palate. No alcoholically aroma or aftertaste. Very enjoyable wine. - 11/15/2008 From Sutter Home: Sutter Home has produced this classic, fragrant, light-bodied dessert wine from the Muscat grape for over 50 years. Moscato is the Italian name for Muscat. It is vinified from grapes grown near Madera and Fresno in the Central Valley of California. - 11/15/2008 From Sutter Home: Extravagantly perfumed, with beautiful scents of white peaches, rose, and lichee. Well-balanced with good acidity and a lingering finish of sweet and creamy peach and honeydew melon flavors. Medium in body, it’s a blush wine of uncommon poise and character, a White Zinfandel as remarkable for its fruit as it is drinkable and easy to appreciate.
