This Zin is unlike any others I have had. It defines complexity, and is not your typical overly ripe fruit bomb. This wine is great to be enjoyed now, but will also hold up a couple 3-5 years. Very impressive run from Grant Street considering it's their first vintage. I look forward to the next release! - 03/31/2008

This nose on this cab begins with soft tones of bing cherry and plum, and a slight hint of eucalyptus. The palate compliments the nose well, and is very soft and clean. I would call this an approachable cab, can be enjoyed now, and a great steal on a Howell Mountain cab for the price! - 03/28/2008

This is a chardonnay worth trying! Amazing butter on the nose, but a beautiful crisp palate. Great food wine, and great wine for both that love this varietal and those who don't! - 01/11/2008

So, getting my profile up and I figured I may as well start with the wine that is sitting next to me at the moment... This Syrah, although limited production is worth everything for both the quality and the story behind the wine. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one (or six) up. |

The 190-case blend of Syrah and Merlot is from the 2003 vintage and was made by Eric Dunham (Dunham Cellars), Marie-Eve Gilla (Forgeron Cellars), Ron Coleman (Tamarack Cellers), Chuck Reininger (Reininger Winery), Myles Anderson (Walla Walla Vintners), Charles Smith (K Vintners), Christophe Baron (Cayuse Vineyards) and Northstar Winery. - 01/11/2008
